Whenever I show my art, my goal isn’t to share beauty just for its own sake. Instead, my goal is to help evoke experiences that take us beyond the ordinary perspective, using a combination of the art itself, plus my artist statement or narration, and music when possible. Whether in solo or group exhibitions, in articles, books, or conferences, in online publications, or any other venue, I try to point to a way of being that’s much more peaceful, balanced, harmonious, and focused, and inspired than our usual way of being. Over the years, each series has focused on progressively deeper aspects of our experience, and I’m constantly learning that far more is possible than we usually think!
